These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MakeIcon ("the service", "we", "us"). By using the service, you agree to be bound by these terms.

Use of the Service

You may use the service for lawful purposes only and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You are responsible for any content you generate and for ensuring you have the rights to use any materials incorporated into your icons. The service is provided free of charge for personal and commercial use.

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting to disrupt its operation, access areas you are not authorized to access, or use the service to generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive.

Third-Party Icon Licenses

MakeIcon provides access to icons from open-source libraries including Lucide, Material Design, and Font Awesome. These icons are licensed under permissive open-source licenses (such as SIL OFL 1.1, MIT, and CC BY 4.0) and may be used in personal and commercial projects in accordance with each license's terms. Some collections include brand logos and trademarks; those logos remain the property of their respective owners, and you are responsible for complying with each brand's usage guidelines.

Intellectual Property

The service and its underlying software, design, and branding are owned by MakeIcon or its licensors and are protected by applicable laws. These terms do not grant you any rights to use our trademarks or branding. Icons you generate with the tool are your own; nothing in these terms transfers ownership of your generated artwork to us.

Disclaimer

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. We make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding the service, including that it will be error-free or that exported files will be accepted by any app store or platform. It is your responsibility to verify that generated assets meet the submission requirements of the platforms you target.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, MakeIcon will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time. Because the tool runs in your browser, exported files you have already downloaded remain yours.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where the service operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. If you have a dispute, contact us first and we will work to resolve it.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last reviewed" date. Continued use of the service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
